They specialize in a variety of services.  Website marketing, managing hosting solutions, software development, website design, programming, database management.  Any other online support you may need for your personal and business needs.

They are not a huge company.  Value their customers, so one on one support is their strong point. Located at 59 East Main Suite A, Lowell NY, New York.  They have an extensive customer base in New York and New Jersey. The company offers reliable services to all sizes of customers.  At a glance, HostingSource looks good.

Will take a look at their features.  Then, their uptime.  Next, their performance.  Then, their customer support.  Lastly, I will write a summary.

HostingSource Features

HostingSource offers a ton of features.  They have shared plans.  VPS plans.  Cloud plans.  Dedicated plans.  They support both Linux and Windows.

Shared Plans

HostingSource offers four shared plans.  Plans down below:

  • Hosting I. This plan is $8.95/month. 5 GB of disk space.  200 MB of monthly bandwidth.  Only supports one domain and 1 FTP.  500 mailboxes.  1 GB of storage per mailbox.  Uses the Plesk control panel.
  • Hosting II. This plan is $14.95/month.  50 GB of disk space.  500 MB of monthly bandwidth.  Only supports one domain name.  5 FTP accounts.  2 GB of storage per mailbox.  Uses the Plesk control panel.
  • Hosting III. This plan is $24.95/month.  200 GB of disk space.  1 GB of monthly bandwidth.   Supports one domain.  10 FTP accounts.  2 GB of storage per mailbox.  Uses the Plesk control panel.

These shared hosting plans are high compared to MDDHosting and GoDaddy.  However, HostingSource tells you exactly what you get.  They do not use the unlimited bandwidth marketing gimmick.

HostingSource does offer many cloud hosting plans. They provide top of the line security.  There are eight cloud plans. For now, on the public plans, you can get a 1-year domain free.  The private you get free setup and data migration. The price is higher than most other plans due to the options that come with these.

HostingSource Uptime and Performance

Uptime

HostingSource does have a 99.9% uptime policy. They do an excellent job at balancing their servers.  Keeps servers from being oversold.  Have many clients that can attest to this. Unlike, MochaHost they don’t cram tons and tons of websites on a shared or VPS server. One of the key reason they can back up their 99.9% uptime policy.

A lot of other web hosting companies do promise the same thing.   But in terms of uptime you’re certainly not going to have any problems.

Performance

HostingSource Ping Test

If performance matters to you, and it should you certainly won’t be let down with HostingSource. Again, since they do carefully monitor their servers, your websites are going to run very fast on their servers. In fact, I always check with isitdownrightnow.com to ping their servers and make sure they respond quickly. When I went to isitdownrightnow.com, I checked, and their servers do respond in 8.51 ms. This is very fast!

HostingSource Customer Support

How good is customer support? Great.

The customer service staff is the focal point behind them. Other companies such as 1and1 get so big they can not handle their clients. I talked to their owner/CEO, Ron.  He assured me they have a full team dedicated to helping resolve customer complaints. They are not a huge company like Hostgator and GoDaddy.  HostingSource can offer much more one on one customer support.

They do have a full comprehensive knowledge base section on their website which is geared towards VPS and dedicated servers.  However, at anytime you wish to get ahold of HostingSource.  They have a toll free telephone number that you can call (24/7).  They do handle their customers questions via a ticket system.

HostingSource Review Summary

Do I recommend them?  Yes.  You may not expect excellent services for the amount HostingSource charges.  I was impressed.  The value is there, though.  The company has fast servers, personal customer support, and a high uptime. So they are not a bad host.  Servers are fast.  They come with SSD hard drives.

HostingSource is a popular host. They get 4.5 to 5 star. Customers have very little bad to say.  Negative reviews can usually be tossed aside as an outlier due to external factors. HostingSource ‘s price point is more on par with other hosting companies, but a tad higher. HostingSource also provides all sorts of cloud server options allowing you to scale your sites or servers very quickly.

The positive reviews all praise HostingSource’s fast servers which have 10 Gbit networks and 99.9% uptime. Some customers noted that when there was a downtime in the network, then it was fixed extremely fast. Customers also praised the customer support.   They reply to your questions within 15 to 20 minutes. Also, most clients who start using HostingSource stay.  Most have stayed for 3+ years.

HostingSource’s 24/7 customer support was there for them 24/7. The staff is also very competent as each member has a history in the IT field.  Allowing them to understand the qualms their users have. Users who came to them come from all another host.  They claim that HostingSource corrects the mistakes.  Something another host can not do. All of these praises solidifies HostingSource’s high ratings and places it as one of the most reliable web hosting services.
