Omnis Omnis Network LogoNetwork
is a reputable web hosting company that has been offering web hosting services since 1999.   This company is world renowned not only because of its services but also for the long list of customers which it has gained over the years. Its client list consists of individuals and organizations from different parts of the world. The main motto of the company  is to keep its customers happy along with providing them world class services at cost effective prices. Once you become an Omnis customer, you will get all services and features which you want without any up sell or hidden cost.  But, what are webmasters saying about their experience with them?

When I review a web hosting company I like to look at a number of key things.  What features do they offer?  Are they reliable?  Is their performance on par with other web hosting companies.  How is their customer support?  And finally, are their prices right for you?  I have developed a rating system on this review that shows you how I rate them on every area.  If you want a quick overview please check it out at the top of this page.  In this Omnis Network review I am going to show you why I recommend them.

Omnis Network Features

Omnis Network offers a number of different web hosting plans that will be perfect for any website.  They currently offer shared, VPS, dedicated, and colocation services.  All of their servers are integrated with cloud computing.  Not only do they offer a lot of different web hosting plans, but you can also purchase a domain name with them.  So lets look at each plan they offer.

Shared Plans

Shared Hosting Omnis Network

For shared plans you have two different options.  You can either buy their Linux cloud service for 5.95/month or their Windows cloud plan for $7.95/month.  These plans can support traffic up to 300 unique visitors per day.  I have tested it out with smaller niche sites and their servers had no issues handling that much traffic.

VPS Plans

VPS Omnis Network Plans

Omnis Network also offers three different plans for Linux.  The prices are as follows:

  • Basic – $15/month.
  • Plus – $25/month.
  • Premium – $45/month.

For Windows you can also choose from three different plans.  They are a tad bit higher than Linux.  Here is a breakdown of the prices:

  • Basic – $25/month.
  • Plus – $40/month.
  • Premium – $60/month.

Each VPS comes with full root access, your choice between 32 & 64 bit platforms, 24/7 proactive and reactive server monitoring, USP and diesel backup generators, and a blazing fast Tier 1 network.

Dedicated Plans

Dedicated Plans - Omnis Network

Omnis Network is mainly known for their dedicated plans, because they offer 33 different plans for your hosting needs.  The prices are between $72 and $258 per month.  I would go ahead and list all the prices individually but that would take forever to type it all out.  If you want to view their plans for yourself you can always check out their site at Omnis.com.

Site Builders

Omnis Network also offers two different easy to use website builders.

SiteBuilder Pro

SiteBuilder Pro allows you to create up to 40 pages.  There are over 700 templates to choose from, logo templates, a photo album, and form creation amongst a number of other cool features.  SiteBuilder Pro cost $7.95 per month.

eCommerce

For those people that are looking to start a eCommerce website Omnis network has a special site builder that you can upgrade to for $11.95 a month.  This allows you to create up to 70 pages, shopping carts, blogging tools, and all the other features that the SiteBuilder Pro package has to offer.

cPanel

Omnis Network offers several packages containing features which are important for running a website.  The hosting service also includes a control panel (cPanel) which can install a content management system easily along with features like e-commerce shopping carts, picture galleries, and web forums. The plan will include unlimited sub-domains, free site builder, IMAP 4 email accounts, Unlimited POP3, unlimited FTP users and unlimited data transfer. Omnis Network supports Windows hosting as well as Unix hosting and hence integrating Python, PHP, Net 3.5, etc. will not be an issue.  You also get a free domain along with Yahoo credit and Adwords.

Omnis Network Uptime

The latest technology which Omnis Network provides includes fibre optic network connection, multitier 1, and Cisco routers and switches. Therefore, your website will have an uptime of 99.9%.  You can trust that your site will not be down for extended amounts of time.  I have tested Omnis Network for uptime and was pleasantly surprised that they actually backed up these bold claims.  A lot of other web hosting companies promise the same thing, but fail to deliver.

Omnis Network Customer Support

U.S. based customer support.

Omnis Network has a fantastic staff for aiding and assisting you.  If you have been following my reviews you know that customer support is big for me.  It’s all good and well to have a ton of features and low prices, but if the customer support isn’t there I will always have issues with the service.  A lot of other webmasters are they same way; we simply don’t like to pull our hair out to get issues resolved. One of the strongest perks which the company offers is a strong customer service. The customer support team is available all 24×7 to reply to your billing issues and questions.

The communication can be in the form of live chat, emails, or via telephone.  There customer support is all US based and they don’t outsource their customer service to other countries. Moreover, I have talked with customer support a number of times and they were always quick to help and have extensive knowledge on technical matters.  All web hosting companies should take a page out of their book, because the support is simply amazing.

Omnis Network Summary

Omnis Network is highly recommended and you can’t go wrong with them. Customers who have availed the services provided by the company say that all the features offered by the company are remarkable and they never had to face any issues regarding the features or services provided by the company. You can enjoy the flexibility of web hosting with cloud computing without compromising reliability. With cloud web hosting technology, the users will get easy to use solutions both for their personal as well as professional needs. It is also helpful for the web developers and the designers to work in this environment. If you find they won’t work for you, you should check out my InMotion or GreenGeeks review.

If you’re a current or past customer of Omnis Network I would like to hear about your experience with them.  Please leave your comments up above, and always feel free to share this review or any review on this site at your leisure. Thanks so much for reading.

I started this special section for Omnis Network in October of 2015 so that you could see the research I have done on their company. I spend several hours researching each web hosting company that I review. What I do is Google “Omnis Network review” so that I find out what other websites are saying about them. Once I find a piece of content on them I like to read it and then summarize it here so that you can get a summary of the content.

I will then file it in 1 of 3 of the following categories; positive, negative, and neutral. I try to update this section as frequently as I can. Please check the information I have found on Omnis Network down below:

“Positive”
“Negative”
“Neutral”

WhoIsHostingThis.com

WhoIsHostingThis does reviews of web hosting services, like tbwhs.com does. It provides a score based on a five star scale, with five being the best score. They rate the support provided by the host, along with features available and uptime. Finally, they evaluate the value of the service. This is followed by customer reviews that score the same categories. Here, we’ll look at what WhoIsHostingThis.com has to say about Omnis Network.

Overall Score

WhoIsHostingThis.com gives Omnis Network an overall score of three 5 stars out of five, which is pretty good. The highest scores are three.5 stars for support, uptime, and features with three stars for value.

In general, though, customers seem to be pretty split about Omnis Network. They either really, really like the hosting service, or they absolutely hate it.

Pros

Customers who really like ON say that it has great customer service, with knowledgeable techs and after-hours help.

ON also gets high points for uptime and reliability. Customers say that it has great uptime and speed. Several customers say that they don’t remember their sites ever going down.

Some customers have multiple websites, and say that they have good, solid uptime.

Cons

As I said, those who didn’t like Omnis Network really didn’t like it. One customer said that his accounts never could forward emails properly.

Other customers said that customer support is awful, with sarcastic customer service.
Others say that their sites get taken down with no notice, and getting the sites restored is really hard.

Overall, Omnis Network gets 3.3 out of 5. This isn’t horribly bad, though. There is just a lot of mixed feedback on Omnis Network on WhoIsHostingThis.com. There have been about 15 user comments and they are really split between praising them and complaining about them. For this reason I am adding this piece of my research to my negative section for Omnis Network.

WebHostingGeeks.com

WebHostingGeeks offers reviews of online web hosting services, much as tbwhs.com does. They give a brief overview of the hosting service, along with a screenshot of the site. Then, they give a history of the last several months of the host, indicating whether or not the service is consistent. Then, they provide an overall score based on five stars, with five being the highest score. Here, we will look at what WebHostingGeeks.com has to say about Omnis Network hosting services.

Overall Score

WebHostingGeeks.com gives Omnis Network an overall score of three out of five stars. That’s pretty good – not outstanding but ok. The price of the service, along with the software and reliability, all receive three and a half stars. User-friendliness and tech support each get three stars.

In general, customers either really, really like Omnis Network, or they absolutely hate them.

Pros

Pricing gets a lot of points, being one of the lower-priced hosting services. Omnis Network seems to have a good selection of tools for customers who want to tinker with their websites. One customer said that he migrated all of his domains to Omnis Network, and the tech support was great and performed a seamless transfer.

Some customers also said they have very good uptime with Omnis Network.

Cons

People who hate Omnis Network say that the customer service is really bad, and not accessible. Their sites go down and they can’t get help with them, and the fees add up quickly for add-ons they don’t ask for.

So the conclusion on WebHostingGeeks.com it seems to be a mixed bag of reviews. They have received 22 reviews and average a 3.1 out of 5 star rating. Since there are such a mixed bag of reviews I am filing this piece of my research in my neutral section.  There is both good and bad on Omnis Network.

Webhostingsecretrevealed.net

WebHostingSecretRevealed reviews online web hosting services, much the same way that tbwhs.com does. They offer a brief introduction to the hosting service being reviewed, followed by a link and pricing for the site. Then they give a ranking for the host based on a five star scale, with five stars being the highest score. Following this, you will see a thorough analysis of the hosting service. Here, we will look at what Webhostingsecretrevealed.net has to say about Omnis Network.

Overall Score

Webhostingsecretrevealed.net gives Omnis Network a score of three out of five stars. They say that ON is reasonably priced at the outset. They not only host sites, but sell VPS plans and dedicates servers as well.

Pros
Omnis Network receives top scores from the BBB, and a few years ago, received a lot of awards. There are two shared hosting plans.

The hosting packages include a free domain name, unlimited domains, a shared SSL certificate, unlimited email mailboxes, and search engine credits for advertising. You also et unlimited MySQL databases. If you choose the Linux package, you can have multiple FTP user accounts. Uptime is 99.98%. They also have good customer service.

Cons
Omnis Network does not use cPanel (as of 6/1/2013), which is a big problem for many users. Another problem is that there are other hosting companies that give the same services for less expense.
Their own control panel is somewhat lacking, missing some of the vital functions that make cPanel popular.

Add-ons are extra expense. These are usually free with other hosts, and can drive the expense up quickly.

Overall, Omnis Network gets 3 stars out of 5 from Webhostingsecretrevealed.net. It looks like they cost a little bit more than other web hosting companies. There are some good and bad things that are pointed out in this article about Omnis Network. For that reason I am adding this piece of my research to my neutral section.

I started this section for Omnis Network so I could interview webmasters that have used their service over the years. I really like interviews because it gives me an opportunity to ask some questions 1 on 1. This gives us a better understanding of what it’s like to host with Omnis Network. I then publish the interview for everyone to read.

If you have experience working with Omnis Network I am looking to talk with you. Please feel free to contact me through my contact us page. Also, you can always send me a tweet on Twitter @tbwhs.
