Ultra Web Hosting does use the whole “unlimited bandwidth” sales pitch.  Have not been a fan of this marketing pitch.  A lot of hosts like Hostgator, PowWeb, and GreenGeeks do this too.

There are limits to their shared plans.  They are as follows:

I do like hosts that offer free plans.  Helps you get a feel for their service.  Ultra Web Hosting does have free hosting.  Much like AwardSpace.  It does come with the following limitations:

Lot of hosts do not have setup fees.  Ultra Web Hosting does have promos from time to time.  These promos will waive the setup fee.

Ultra Web Hosting does use SSD hard drives.  These hard drives are much faster.  This hardware does not cost extra like lots of hosts charge.

Like other hosts, Ultra Web Hosting has a 99.9% uptime guarantee. I had a question about this policy.  Logged onto “live chat.”  Talked with Kevin Turner.  He stated this, “If the uptime is below 99.9% on a shared hosting plan.  Then we will give you one month of hosting for free.”

They do have a URL for checking downtime at https://upordown.ultrawebhosting.com/. Also, there is “server status page.”  You can check your servers status there.

Downtime should not be an issue with them.  Research shows site owners are happy with uptime.
