Check Out WebHostingHub

ReviewResearchInterviews
WebHostingHubWeb Hosting Hub Logo was founded in 2010.  They are located in Virginia Beach, Virginia.  They expanded their business to Los Angeles, California.  WebHostingHub has more than 200 employees.  Their staff is based in the United States.  They are a “green” web hosting company.  GreenGeeks is another popular “green” hosting company.

This WebHostingHub review will show their plans.  Then, their uptime.  Next, their performance.  Then, their customer support.  Lastly, I write a summary.

WebHostingHub Features

They are a shared only host.  WebHostingHub is a budget host.  They offer three plans.

Spark

Plan cost $4.99/month.   Comes with the following:

  • Free domain name.
  • Supports two sites.
  • 10 MySQL databases.
  • $50 of free advertising credit.
  • Five parked domain names.
  • 25 sub domains.
  • Backups for $1/month.
  • Three free site transfers.
  • Auto install WordPress.
  • Auto install shopping cart.

Nitro

Plan cost $6.99/month. Comes with:

  • Free domain name.
  • Unlimited sites.
  • Unlimited databases.
  • $150 of advertising credit.
  • 25 parked domain names.
  • Unlimited sub domains.
  • Backups for $1/month.
  • 3 Free site transfers.
  • Auto install WordPress.
  • Auto install shopping cart.

Dynamo

This plan cost $8.99/month. Comes with:

  • Free domain name.
  • Unlimited sites.
  • Unlimited databases.
  • $200 of advertising credit.
  • Unlimited parked domain names.
  • Unlimited sub domains.
  • Backups for $1/month.
  • 3 Free site transfers.
  • Auto install WordPress.
  • Auto install shopping cart.

Plans do have limits. Their TOS page says that if you use more than 75,000 files/inodes you may be asked to reduce the size of your hosting account. If you use more than 10 GB or 75,000 files you can not use their backup system.

No Monthly Plans

First, WebHostingHub does not offer a monthly plan.  Instead, you sign up for 12, 24, or 36 months.  Prices below:

Spark

  • 12 months.  $83.88.
  • 24 months.  $143.76.
  • 36 months.  $179.64.

Nitro

  • 12 months.  $107.88.
  • 24 months.  $191.76.
  • 36 months.  $251.64.

Dynamo

  • 12 months.  $131.88.
  • 24 months.  $239.76.
  • 36 months.  $323.64.

Control Panel

WebHostingHub does use cPanel.  Is free with all plans.

cPanel allows:

  • One click installation WordPress and 310+ scripts.
  • Setup for email (POP3/SMTP/IMAP).
  • Full Backup tools.
  • File managements (FTP).
  • Domain management.

Security

Site security is a must. WebHostingHub does not use SiteLock. Instead, they have a backup service for $1/month. It backs up your sites automatically. Backups are done daily. Does not cost you to restore. You get 10 GB of backups.

Free Transfers

WebHostingHub does do free site transfers. They do three transfers per plan. Unlike BlueHost they do not charge you $149.99. I have had clients migrate to them over the years. Moving to WebHostingHub was always a smooth move.

Premium WordPress Theme

Do offer a premium WordPress theme. It was developed by InMotion. Both companies are owned by the same company. It is called BoldGrid. I tested it out.  Has a drag and drop interface. You can read my BoldGrid review here.

Web Design Service

WebHostingHub has a team that designs sites. Get free hosting for a year when you hire them. Here are features:

  • Free updates for a year.
  • No cookie cutter templates.
  • Works with another host.
  • Dedicated in-house designer.
  • 100% ownership of rights.
  • Mobile friendly.
  • Social Media Ready.

Domain Names

Can buy domains with WebHostingHub. They are $14.99/year. However, you do get a free domain when you use them for hosting. Private domains are $9.99/year extra. A total of $24.98/year. Is on the higher end, price-wise. I use NameCheap. They are cheaper for domain names.

Money Back Guarantee

The industry average is 30 days. They have a solid money-back guarantee. It is for 90 days. This is second to DreamHost (97 days). Better than JustHost (30 days), Network Solutions (30 days), and Web.com (30 days). Beyond the 90 day money-back guarantee period WebHostingHub offers pro-rated refunds.

WebHostingHub Uptime and Performance

My WebHostingHub review will show you their speed and uptime.

Uptime

WebHostingHub’s uptime is great!  Never have an issue with uptime.  Been hosting sites on WebHostingHub’s servers for over six years.  I can not recall my site being down any. They have excellent uptime:

WebHostingHub.com Uptime
Screenshot from montools.com.

Research shows that uptime is great.  HostingFacts.com shows uptime was 99.92%.  WhoIsHostingThis.com has gotten lots of feedback about their uptime.  Other sites speak highly of them, too.

Performance

WebHostingHub.com allows you to pick your server location. They have two datacenters. One is located, Los Angeles. The other is located in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Why pick your servers location? To ensure your site loads quickly.

They do use SSD hard drives. The industry has been going this way for years.  SSD hard drives load 20 times faster. Most hosts charge extra for SSD. They do not charge extra. Comes with every plan.

Research shows speed is good. Server responded in 611ms for HostingFacts.com. Many other hosting review site rated them highly on speed.

WebHostingHub Customer Service

Their support is U.S. based. Unlike, 1and1 and WebHostingPad they do not use overseas support. As mentioned above, they have 200 employees. They have 24/7 support. Can contact them many ways. Live chat, telephone, or support ticket. Live chat connects instantly unlike Hostgator.

I have talked to them many times. It usually takes 2 minutes on live chat. Support tickets usually get replies in less than an hour. Research shows site owners are happy with the support. WhoIsHostingthis.com has lots of reviews praising support. HostingFacts states that support is great.

WebHostingHub Hosting Reviews Summary

Do I recommend them? Yes.  The WebHostingHub hosting reviews users have submitted are very positive.  Premium hosting and a budget price. You do have to pay your bill yearly. They use SSD hard drives. You can pick your server location. Free website transfers. They use cPanel. Have great uptime. Sites load fast with them. Support is U.S. based and is great.

However, if you need a VPS or dedicated plan go with InMotion Hosting, which is their sister company. Also, another good option is A2 Hosting or RoseHosting.

My research on WebHostingHub.com.  See down below.
